Subject: [presnet] NAICU Alert: Overtime Rule – What you need to know and do now
Now that the final overtime rule<https://s3.amazonaws.com/public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2016-11754.pdf> has been released, I’m sure you have many questions and concerns about what this means for your institution, possible next steps, and issues about implementation. As referenced in the NAICU Alert<http://www.naicu.edu/docLib/20160519_FinalOTAlertFINAL.pdf> sent on Tuesday evening, NAICU is partnering with the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) on a series of webinars that will be free to NAICU members. The first webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, May 25, at 1:00-2:30 EST. The webinar, “The FSLA Overtime Final Rule: What You Need to Know and Do Now,” will address:
* Key elements of the new overtime regulations;
* Compliance timeline;
* Implementation steps that colleges and universities must take;
* How to handle compensation going forward; and
* Key challenges that higher education institutions will need to address.
